Playing the game of golf for 24 years.

All of my family are keen golf enthusiasts which was a great catalyst in helping me to become a professional golfer.

I started at the age of 8 at Laytown and Bettystown Golf Club.

Qualified as a EGTF Golf Instructor at the age of 20

June 2000 Sony announces its commitment to a new venture to be under taken by there Special projects division into the advancement of DVD and voice over technology. And its sponsorship of Barry Power.

July 2002 Barry is named as Ireland's No 1 Corporate Golf Professional by Golf Ireland magazine

Subsequent Golf Days included Special Olympics fund raising days at Druids Glen,Old Head of Kinsale and the Irish Open to name a few.

November 2004 sees the opening of the Barry Power Golf Academy at Portmarnock Driving Range

March 2005 sees the the Four Seasons Hotel Ballsbridge announce Golf Professional Barry Power to become the Golf Professional escort to its most special guests.

May 2006 sees the arrival of the High speed super slow motion Camera the (STORM Camera) as seen on sky sports coverage of the US Tour making The Barry Power Golf Academy the most Advanced in Europe.

May 2006 sees Barry on the Ireland AM show trying to accept Mission Impossible 4 of Teaching Aidan Cooney Ireland am presenter and beginner how to start and improve his golf swing.

December 2006 sees Arnotts Retail out let invite Barry to give its customers the chance to have there golf swing analyzed using the very latest in modern technology.

January 2007 The Barry Power Golf Academy announces that from the 1st January all golf lessons will be placed onto DVD or USB Key with full voice over analysis making it impossible to forget the most important points of the lesson.

January 2007 sees the launch of www.bpg.ie Irelands first top class free golf instructional website with free video golf tips. BPG stands for the Barry Power Golf Academy.
