The GetActive.ie Team

GetActive.ie currently has two owner directors, Emmet Donnelly and James Donnelly. Along with our devotion to developing GetActive.ie we both have a passion for active and healthy living.

We are lucky that we found an activity that we love at an early age. To this day we are still heavily involved in Basketball. Growing up we both played for St.Vincents Basketball Club and we currently play for Glasnevin's Superleague side ‘DCU Saints’.

Emmet Donnelly - Managing Director

Emmet Donnelly is a former Interactive Media Developer with AOL Technologies Inc, in Dublin. He has extensive experience in Web Development through a variety of technologies. Emmet holds an honours degree in Computing and Information Systems from King's College, Pennsylvania, USA.

Emmet is also an enthusiastic athlete. He has played for the Irish National Basketball team at both underage and senior levels. While at King's College Emmet was a two-sport athlete, starting for both the soccer and basketball teams.

James Donnelly - Director

James Donnelly graduated with an honours degree in Computer Science at University College Dublin in 2006. Since before his graduation from UCD James has been working with GetActive.ie and has been the principle developer on our new version forGetActive.ie.

He plays along side his brother Emmet on the DCU Saints basketball team in the Irish Men's Superleague. He has played for the Irish National Basketball Junior Men’s team and has captained his club side to All-Ireland success.
