Basketball Ireland - One-day Basketball Event

 

Date: January 18th 2009 

Time: 11am-6pm

 

Youth (8-14)

*skills, drills & games

U/18 & Adult

* 3 vs. 3 Competition

 

Youth Experience

 

• open to all boys and girls between 8-14 years of age

 

• children will go through a skills & drills session to start the day and then go into a cross-cultural education session

 

• After the break, each child will be assigned to a team. A tournament will then take place so that each team plays one another at least once with a champion being declared at the end of the day

 

• a prize will be given to the winners and each child will receive a special event t-shirt for competing in the day

 

U/18 & Senior Event

 

• Each team must consist of men and at least one women

 

• Each team can have a maximum of 5 players but must have a minimum of 3

 

• The winners will receive a prize from Basketball Ireland but will also be presented with medals at the Chinese New Year ceremony on the 25th of January
